Reiki

Reiki is an ancient energy healing system. Rediscovered by the Japanese Mikao Usui in 1922, the name comes from Rei – universal and Ki – life energy. Reiki literally means "Universal Energy".

Reiki is a practice based on directing universal life energy through the practitioner’s hands to restore the body’s energy balance and support self-healing. The therapy aims to release blockages and improve a person’s physical, emotional, and spiritual condition. When energy flows freely in the body, we are in a state of health and well-being. Our bodies are designed to self-heal and self-regulate. Unfortunately, we have lost this skill, and Reiki training helps us recall it.

Anyone can learn to direct life energy to restore energy balance. It is accessible to everyone, and no special skills are required to use universal energy. Reiki is not a religion and can be practiced by anyone, regardless of their faith.

To practice Reiki, one must complete a training that includes adjusting the student’s energy system, after which they can help themselves or their loved ones. Reiki training has three levels, with the first and second accessible to everyone.

• The third, or so-called Master level, is taught in two parts:

• Master Healer – recommended for those who wish to dedicate themselves to the healing arts.

• Master Teacher – teaches how to pass this knowledge on to students.

• Both parts of the third level can be taken together or separately.
  
  Reiki therapies can be done remotely, but initiation is individual and in-person.
